Douglas Beasley's personal vision explores the spiritual and emotional aspects of people and place, and is concerned with how the sacred is recognised in everyday life. His work is widely exhibited and collected, and has been published internationally in magazines such as Zoom, The Sun, B&W, PDN and Shots. His books include 'Japan; A Nisei's First Encounter', 'Earth Meets Spirit' and 'Zen & the Art of Photography'. As founder of Vision Quest Photo Workshops, Doug leads workshops emphasising personal expression and creative vision over the mechanics of the camera.

Aline Smithson
Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Lenscratch
Aline Smithson is an interdisciplinary artist, editor, filmmaker and educator based in Los Angeles. She has exhibited widely, with over 50 solo shows internationally, and her work has appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker and PDN. Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Lenscratch, she received the Rising Star Award from the Griffin Museum and the Excellence in Teaching Award from CENTER, and was twice selected for the Critical Mass Top 50. Her monographs include 'Self & Others: Portrait as Autobiography' and 'Fugue State'. In 2022 she was named a Hasselblad Heroine.

Ann M. Jastrab
Executive Director, Center for Photographic Art
Ann M. Jastrab, MFA, is the Executive Director at the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, California. Before CPA she was gallery director at RayKo Photo Center in San Francisco for a decade, where she built a thriving artist-in-residence program, and gallery manager at Scott Nichols Gallery. During her tenure at CPA she created artist grant and scholarship programs and grew the organisation from a regional arts centre to one with members on six continents, launching the PhotoCarmel festival. She is a juror and reviewer for numerous institutions and taught for more than a decade at the Maine Photographic Workshops.
Tom Chambers
Photomontage Artist
Since 1998 Tom Chambers has exhibited photomontage images from ten photographic series nationally and internationally, in twenty-one solo exhibitions and over seventy group shows and art fairs. He has received fellowships from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and the Virginia Commission for the Arts, and his work is held in collections including the National Museum of Photography in Bogotá, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art and MOCA Bangkok. His books include 'Entropic Kingdom' and the retrospective 'Hearts and Bones'.

Janice Mehlman
Professor Emeritus of Photography, CUNY
Janice Mehlman has exhibited her photographs in museums and galleries throughout the United States, Europe and South America. In her work she uses light and shadow to create abstraction, mystery and illusion, with a powerful psychological aspect. Six monographs have been published about her work, and her photographs appear in many histories of photography, including Naomi Rosenblum's 'A World History of Photography'. She is Professor Emeritus of Photography in the City University of New York and divides her time between Brooklyn and Pietrasanta, Italy.

Jennifer Schlesinger

Jennifer Schlesinger is a curator, artist and photography appraiser based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was Director of VERVE Gallery of Photography for over a decade, and since 2016 has been founder, owner and Director of Obscura Gallery. She serves on the Board of Directors for AIPAD and is an accredited member of the Appraisers Association of America specialising in photography appraisals.

Matthew Christopher has documented abandoned sites since 2006, photographing and writing about the ruins of schools, churches, industrial sites, amusement parks, hotels and prisons across the world. His website, Abandoned America, has been featured in The New York Times, ABC and NBC News and The Atlantic. His monographs 'Abandoned America: The Age of Consequences' and 'Dismantling the Dream' explore the tragic legacies of lost places. He holds an MFA in Fine Art Photography from RIT and hosts The Abandoned America Podcast.

Lee Anne White

Lee Anne White is a fine art photographer with a deep love for landscapes. She teaches photography and creativity workshops around the country, including at Maine Media and the Chicago Botanic Garden. A former editor-in-chief of Fine Gardening, she has written and photographed many books and articles on garden design. 'Quiet places call to me,' she writes. 'I am drawn to contrasts: the natural and designed, light and shadow, open and closed — and I am infinitely curious about the creative process.'

Andrew Moore is widely acclaimed for long-term photographic series recording the effect of time on the natural and built landscape — in Cuba, Russia, Bosnia, Times Square, Detroit, the Great Plains, the American South and the Hudson Valley. His sequence-driven projects explore memory, ageing and American culture, and are held in collections including the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library.
